Look up any domain's registration details.
Registrar, expiry, nameservers and status.
Enter a domain name to see who registered it, when it expires, its current status, and which nameservers it's delegated to.
A WHOIS lookup shows you who owns a domain name, when it was registered, when it's due to expire, and which nameservers it's pointed at. It's the first thing to check before buying a domain from someone else, chasing down a client's expired registration, or confirming who actually controls a domain during a dispute. Agencies use it to verify ownership before starting client work; IT teams use it to track renewal dates so nothing lapses unexpectedly. Every domain extension — .com, .au, .com.au and more — publishes this registration data publicly. Our tool queries the correct WHOIS server for you and returns the result in seconds, with no login and no rate limit.
What a WHOIS record actually tells you.
Registrar & dates
Every WHOIS record shows the registrar the domain was registered through, plus the creation, last-updated, and expiry dates. If a domain has lapsed or is close to expiry, this is the first place it shows up.
Nameservers & status
Nameservers show which provider is currently handling DNS for the domain — useful for confirming a domain actually points where you expect. Status codes (like clientTransferProhibited) indicate registry-level locks.
Privacy & redaction
Many registrars redact the registrant's personal contact details by default, or offer a privacy proxy service. This is normal and doesn't mean a domain is unregistered — the registrar and dates are still reliable.
